The end of endless diapers may soon be upon us

So, potty training is upon us. Well, technically it has been for some time, since Avery has been working on it for quite a while now, but Caden is suddenly intersted as well, which adds a whole different element to the situation. I think I'm going to Google some tips on potty training twins, because it's difficult enough with one, but two, I'm not so sure I'm up to the task. Yet.

Avery has been wanting to wear panties lately, so today we put on a pretty yellow pair with Belle from Beauty and the Beast on them. She loves them, loves to look at them, loves to comment on her "Pwinsiss Panties". Caden has never paid them any attention whatsoever. That is, until today. Today, while I was helping Avery into the aforementioned panties, he decided to rip his diaper off. I told him he had to wear it, and to come to me so I could put it back on. He said no. I said come here right now. He said nooooo. So, I said that if he wasn't going to wear a diaper anymore than he'd have to wear panties, too, because we don't run around naked in this house. At least not until Mommy is sure that there will not be pee in random places in her house. So, since we only have pwinsiss panties here, that's what he wore. Cinderella panties, because they were the only blue ones, and I figured that was better than pink or purple, right? I also told him to call them underwear, instead of panties, because certainly that must be what little boys say, right? I mean, panties just seems a little too girly. This coming from the person who dressed her son in his sister's pwinsiss panties. So for the rest of the afternoon, he walked around holding his crotch, proudly displaying his "unnawaya". Oh, how he loved the freedom of those marvelous things. He wore them all day, other than at naptime. He did, however, have two accidents, but oh well. At least he seems to be moving forward, right? Wearing unnawaya is a wonderful step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. I don't mind a few more things to wash throughout the day if it means that someday in the somewhat near future I will have two children OUT OF DIAPERS. Amen.

That's a story for the rehearsal dinner if I've ever heard one!

"As the mother of the groom, I want to take a few moments to share with you some tender moments that I have shared with my son....."

Hooray for pwinsiss panties!
