Yay for Friday!

Whew, what a week! We leave for Helena tonight, which I should be packing for, and I am exhausted. I'm taking a blog/iced tea break to re-energize myself. There is awful construction going on in town, so it takes, like, five times longer than usual to do anything. I dropped Caden off at speech therapy, took the girls with me to TJ Maxx to buy a new pair of sunglasses (I sat on my lovely Kate Spade pair last week. I cried. Literally.) and splurged on a pair that cost a whole $8.00. There's no way I'm throwing my money away on something that I will most certainly sit on sometime in the next few months. Sunglasses and I do not mix well.

Anyhow, other than pick up a dish from Angie, plus get a quick glance at her new little guy Tyler (who's oh-so-cute, by the way!!!) and a play yard we're borrowing from another friend for the weekend, we headed home THREE HOURS LATER. I couldn't believe it. Plus, we're driving my brother's huge Ford F-350 Crew Cab to haul stuff back, so I felt like I was in a semi the whole time. And I thought a Suburban was big.

My tomato seeds have already sprouted! They're so cool looking! Nothing else is really up yet, but hopefully will be after the weekend. I'm just so excited something is actually growing! Yay!

So, tonight we drive to Helena, which is about 3 or 4 hours away. We'll get situated, put the kids down, and go to bed whenever they finally settle down. Then tomorrow morning, I'm going to get up around 6:00 and then head to Bozeman by 6:30 or 7:00 to have breakfast with my good friend Emily. Well, I won't get there until 8:00 or 8:30, but you get the picture. I am actually looking forward to the drive. Should be pretty beautiful, plus I'll be ALL ALONE, which is so very, very rare! I am super excited; I haven't seen Emily or her husband Jonathan since last summer, right before they moved. Which reminds me, they've been married almost a year! Happy Anniversary, you guys! It'll be such a treat to catch up and spend a little time together. None of my friends live here anymore, and the getting to know new people thing has been pretty slow going, so I feel really deprived of female companionship! Well, other than my wonderful internet friends! ; )

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend! I'll try and take some fun pictures to share!

I love a long solo drive, it's just the thing to clear the head.

Plus, singing with wild abandon for a couple of hours is just good for you!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has sunglasses issues. I sit on them, lose them, 'put-them-in-a-safe-place-so-I-won't-lose-them', forget them, remember where I forgot them, drive over them, accidentally throw them away.....sunglasses and me are not meant to be.
