Happy Valentine's Day!

I think my children are starting to become somewhat well-behaved. I am actually not sure if it if just me, or if they really are changing, but either way I like it. Caden has become a mama's boy, and Avery is becoming more adventurous, less shy. Sienna is the same as always, just older, so even more rambunctious than ever. I swear, that girl fears nothing. She will climb anything possible, and then dive headfirst right back off of whatever she's managed to get on top of.

In honor of Valentine's Day, I decided to rid myself of some body hair. This is a rather disgusting topic, I know, but it's also a momentous event and must be brought up. I am horrible at shaving my legs in the winter, no one sees them anyhow, so why waste my precious time is the way I see it. But since this is supposed to be a romantic day, I thought that it would be quite the treat for Carl to see my legs looking slightly less man-ish. Quite the gift, huh? Actually, he is also getting a box of horrid chocolate covered cherries. Horrid to me, mind you, not him - he loves the slimy little things. We're not really doing much else, though. Maybe we will go to dinner, just the two of us, this weekend, but not sure as of yet. Tom and Nancy, Carl's parents, are going to be here for the weekend, and since we don't see them very much I hate to be gone when they're here.

We are all feeling so much better! I am so happy to be over that rotten sickness. What a miserable way to spend your weekend! I think I have sufficiently sanitized every surface in our house at least twice, possibly three times. It no longer makes my skin crawl to touch every surface in our house. Although, the kids' sickness has turned into a cold of sorts, which means I am chasing them around with tissue most of the day. Isn't winter fun!

Lastly, I should add that the sun is out today! I am so happy I can hardly stand it. Waking up to the sun coming up over Flathead Lake was the best gift I could have asked for. I had begun to just accept the grayness, so this was a wonderful surprise. I cannot wait for spring!

Yea for Sun! And shaved legs!
Nate likes those chocolate cherry abominations, too. Why do people do that to cherries? Are they even real cherries?
Hope you guys have a great Valentine's day!

Wow! I love reading about a day in the life of the Hansen clan. I sure miss watching the sun coming up over Flathead & Whitefish lakes. We don't really get to see that here, but it is usually sunny. :) I hope you had a nice Valentine's Day. Hopefully we'll be able to get together during the week of Em and Luke's wedding - We're going to take that whole week of. Yea!
Call me if you get a free moment again.
Love,
EM
