Randomness

Here are a few pics of the kids that I took last week.
Cece has a thing for putting stuff on her head. She thinks it's hilarious. She'll put a towel on her head, like in the picture, and then either crawl away or run away with her head down, laughin really hard. It's weird, but cute. Caden found this toy drill, and played with it for HOURS. Avery was posing for me, asking if I was going to take her picture. So cute!
Friday Caden got his cast off! He did really well. Apparantly it takes a while for kids to walk after they've had a cast on. He's only tried a few steps at a time so far. He's really happy it's gone, though. So am I-I can't wait for him to be back to normal!
I planted my seeds Saturday. Although everyone was right, and it was really easy, it was still really fun. I can't wait to see if anything actually grows! I planted alyssum, lupine, verbena, snapdragons, and a bunch of other flowers that I don't remember the names of. Plus, I did some tomatoes, as well as a bunch of herbs. Nothing out of the ordinary-two types of basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano, chives, dill and cilantro. I've done herbs before and had pretty good luck with them. I can't wait to use them in my cooking this summer!
We had really gorgeous weather this weekend. We were able to get a ton of stuff done outside. We're nearly ready to plant our grass! Or lay our sod, we're still not sure which we'll do. The kids got to play outside bunches, and loved every minute of it. It made me so anxious for nice weather! I had forgotten how much fun it is to play outside with them. All they had to do was draw with their sidewalk chalk or play in the dirt, really, but they still had a blast. They covered each other in dirt; I literally had to hose their hair out there were so many rocks and twigs that wouldn't come out! But it was worth it. We put a doggy door in that goes from the garage to outside last weekend, and the kids discovered it yesterday. Caden went in and out a million times. I have a couple cute pictures of them doing this that I'll post soon.
I am trying out a bread recipe Becky passed along today, and will bake it tomorrow. I'll write more once I know how I like it. I'm super curious what it'll be like, since it's a no-knead recipe. So easy! Hopefully it's tasty too.
Well, we're off to Helena one last time this weekend before Carl's parents move out. They have sold their house and are moving to eastern Montana to be near their family, and we are taking a few of the things their getting rid of. We are going to borrow my little brothers big Ford pickup so we can haul stuff back, and he's going to use our Suburban. I am a little anxious as to how the kids will do overnight, since they're so freakishly weird about sleeping only in their cribs, but other than that it'll be nice to get away for the weekend. I like Helena, it has so many historical landmarks, so many absolutely ancient buildings that it's really fun to visit and be touristy.
So, sort of a boring post... but that's a quick summary of our weekend! Hope everyone else's was great, and that Monday wasn't too horrid!

I love herbs.... I just love to pinch them and rub them in my hands and take a big snifffff.

Your babies are beautiful.

I love to eat tomatoes right off the vine, warm from the sun. So much of my garden never even made it in the back door!

Glad that you all liked the pictures and the post. :)

Cara- I'm the same way-I tend to eat whatever I grow as soon as it's ready! Although, I don't usually have very much, so I figure it doesn't really matter where it gets enjoyed!
