Unwanted Catalogs?

So, I probably get around 10-15 catalogs per week in the mail. I look at two or three of them, and then throw them out. Even the ones I glance at, I never order from. Why would I, when it's so much easier online? Everytime I go to the post office, and our box is crammed full of mail, only to discover that it's ALL catalogs, I tell myself that I'm going to call each company and cancel them. But, of course, I don't. I don't even remember that I was going to, until I find the box jammed again a week or so later.

Anyway, all that to say I found a link on my friend Karli's page to a website called Catalog Choice. All you have to do is register with them, (it's really quick, it took like 3 minutes) and then choose the catalogs you are receiving but don't want to. It took me about 30 or so minutes total, and I ended up being able to cancel nearly 40 catalogs! I couldn't believe I was receiving that many. I am thinking it's also a great way to save a little money, because if I am not seeing all those wonderful new items right in front of me, I will hopefully purchase less junk online.

I'm so glad you were able to cancel those catalogs--that is a lot of catalogs! I get annoyed by the pile I have to sift through every day, too. I like your sentence about capturing life in writing. That is pretty much what I guess I set out to do when I began my blog many years ago. I really want to visit your family in Montana sometime! What city do you live nearest to? --Karli

We would LOVE to have you guys visit! We live in Lakeside, about 15 minutes outside of Kalispell. My parents are in Kila, 15 minutes west of Kalispell. Kalispell is the center of the valley, and the biggest town near us. We're about 2 hours north of Missoula, which is the only actual city around us. We're about 45 minutes or so from Glacier Park, also.

I heard your parents are going to be hear in a couple of months, and I think they said they're giving my parents a call when they're going through. It's been so long since I've seen any of you guys!

Flathead Lake, as well as Glacier Park, are great places for vacations. Tons of beautiful outdoorsy places to visit here, too.
