Overdue Update

As always, busy, busy, busy here. My classes are going really well. I mean REALLY well. I love them. I love going to school, I love learning new things, refreshing my memory on old things and feeling like I'm working towards a goal. I am taking a class called Intro to Education, and the more  I learn about it, the more certain I am that teaching is the career for me. I just feel cut out for it, and I don't recall ever feeling that way before. I'm doing well so far, too, which helps out a lot in the attitude arena. If I get a bad grade I may change my mind, just to warn you.

We're all doing good. The kids are good, growing like little weeds. Cece is 17 months old and talking more and more everyday. I cannot believe my baby is so big. I still love the moments when she will allow me to snuggle her, and already miss her baby days. I now understand why your children are always your "babies". I never want them to get to big for me to snuggle them.

Caden and Aver 2 years 8 months! Wow... I've been a mother for almost 2 1/2 years. Crazy how fast it's gone by. I sure can't imagine my life without them. They have been getting their physical and speech therapy for free through early intervention here for the last year (since we don't have health insurance) but when they did the one year evaluation, they didn't qualify! This is good news and bad news at the same time. I love that they are scoring higher than their actual age level, but at the same time, I would like them to continue seeing their therapists longer than this, but I am trying to look on the bright side. I can't believe that my babies are talking, walking, running and climbing. Drawing, painting, imagining, loving and describing the world around them. I especially cannot believe they will be 3 years old in 4 months.

We finger painted today for the first time. Very messy, but very fun. They did well, and I'll save those pictures forever I'm sure! They also made cute colored paper fall trees and leaves which are proudly displayed on my cabinets. They love to look at them and remember that they created them themselves. I am really looking forward to the pumpkin patch this year, as I am sure that they will enjoy it more than in year past when they just looked around like, Hey Mom, what the heck are we doing here?!

I am heading over to a friends' house tomorrow evening for the Season Premiere of Grey's Anatomy. She is cooking dinner, I'm bringing the wine, and a few of us are going to hang out without children or husbands and enjoy ourselves. I'm quite looking forward to it!

I'm so happy you are enjoying school!

We're taking Alyssa to the pumpkin patch hopefully next weekend. :)

Thanks for the update!

Hey Kelli, Coffee People was bought out by Diedrich Coffee who sold to Starbucks! And Coffee People started out saying they were going to be the #2 Starbucks. We miss them around here a lot! They're still at the PDX airport, though, but all other locations are now Starbucks. Good to hear from you, Kelli! Hey, do you ever get clicks on your ads? Karli
